Creative Awakening Workshop

two-part: for adults with some artistic skill

This workshop is about re-awakening the creative spirit, through discussion, experimentation, concept, approach and form development and execution of a final artwork.

In this two-part workshop we journey through the creative process, discussing media and technique, exploring visual language such as symbolism, personal narrative and dream imagery, and considering colour choice and composition.

The first part of this two part workshop series focusses on concept development and explorations with technique, through keeping a visual diary; the second focuses on more intuitive art making. Workshop attendees are invited to bring sketchbooks, ephemera and personal papers (or other materials to work with) and inspirational images. A selection of scraps, papers and collage materials will also be provided and visual diaries can be purchased at participant request.
