The Creative Ethos
Ever struggled to write an Artist Statement?
THE CREATIVE ETHOS is a guided discussion and writing workshop that explores how to construct a written personal ethos that is articulate, authentic and powerful.
A Creative Ethos is more than an Artist Statement – derived from the Greek, Ethos translates as ‘character’. In this Creative Development Workshop we discuss how to craft a written Personal Ethos that passionately conveys who you are – your ethics, values, dreams, fears and aspirations, while also describing the practicalities of your practice and creative work as a professional and meeting the expectations of the Arts and Culture Sector. Your personal ethos may be used on a website or business page, in grant or exhibition applications, or simply to develop a deeper understanding of your creative identity.
